Are you looking to make the most of those leftover chocolates that we've all had in our pantry at some point?

We'll show you the best way to use those leftovers by preparing a delicious, easy three-chocolate cake in less than 1 hour. This cake is a visual and gustatory delight, perfect for any occasion.

In this case, we're going to use artisan chocolates from Teruel, which are known for their quality and unmatched flavor, which makes this recipe even more special, but you can actually use any artisan chocolate.

Let's get to the ingredients.

Ingredients

For this recipe, we will need the following ingredients:

For the base

  • 200 g of Oreo-type cocoa cookies.
  • 80 g of melted butter.

For the chocolate layers

  • 150 g of artisan dark chocolate from Teruel
  • 150 g of artisan milk chocolate from Teruel
  • 150 g of artisan white chocolate from Teruel
  • 750 ml of whipping cream
  • 750 ml of whole milk
  • 3 sachets of powdered rennet
  • Sugar optional because the chocolates already contain it, depending on the sweetness sought.

Preparing the cookie base

  • Crush the biscuits: Start by crushing the cocoa biscuits until they are a fine powder. You can do this with a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  • Mix with butter: In a bowl, mix the crushed biscuits with the melted butter until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Place the base: Pour this mixture into the base of a springform tin and flatten with a spoon so that it is uniform. Reserve in the refrigerator while you prepare the chocolate layers.

Prepare the dark chocolate layer

  • Heat the liquids: In a saucepan, heat 250ml of cream and 250ml of milk over a medium heat. If you want this layer to be a little sweeter, add 20g of sugar.
  • Add the chocolate: Chop the dark chocolate and add it to the saucepan, stirring constantly until it has completely melted.
  • Add the curd: Dissolve one sachet of curd in a little cold milk and add it to the mixture. Stir constantly until it begins to thicken. This process usually takes about 5 minutes.
  • Pour over the base: Carefully pour the dark chocolate mixture over the biscuit base. Leave to cool in the fridge while you prepare the next layer.

Preparing the milk chocolate layer

  • Repeat the process: Repeat the same process with the milk chocolate. Heat 250 ml of cream and 250 ml of milk, add the chopped milk chocolate and, optionally, another 20 g of sugar.
  • Add the curd: Dissolve the second sachet of curd and add it to the mixture, stirring until it thickens.
  • Pour over the previous layer: Before pouring the milk chocolate mixture over the dark chocolate layer, make some marks with a fork on the surface of the previous layer so that it adheres better. Pour carefully and leave to cool again.

Preparing the white chocolate layer

  • The final layer: Finally, repeat the process once more with the white chocolate. Heat 250 ml of cream and 250 ml of milk, add the chopped white chocolate and, if you like, 10 g of sugar, as white chocolate is the sweetest of the three.
  • Add the curd: Dissolve the third sachet of curd, add it to the mixture and stir until it thickens.
  • Pour over the previous layers: Make fork marks in the milk chocolate layer again before pouring in the white chocolate mixture.
