FIVE WINERIES TO VISIT IN TERUEL

FIVE WINERIES TO VISIT IN TERUEL

Due to the great winemaking tradition of the Iberian Peninsula, wine tourism is a trend that has motivated many wineries to offer experiences to visitors. Thus, in Spain, in recent years a new form of leisure has been developed, as a result of this concern to know more than one of our gastronomic jewels. Among the areas that have benefited from this phenomenon, is the Lower Aragon. Vine production and its quality in the area have nothing to envy to denominations of origin such as Ribera del Duero. The vines that are planted in Lower Aragon correspond to a Mediterranean and semi-continental climate, which favors their development and gives them a unique wine-growing value. This, added to a calcareous and clayey soil, has been able to give rise to unique varieties, such as the Derechero de Muniesa (Teruel).

The acidity of the earth and the acidity are also factors that contribute to the fact that both white, rosé or red wines, produced in this area, have a protected geographical indication (PGI).

  • Reds: intense aroma of red fruits, liquorice and wood, juicy, long and long-lasting.

  • Whites: intense, fruity and fresh aromas. Pleasant on the palate and lively. Varieties such as Macabeo.

  •  Rosés: fresh, soft, floral with a fruity finish. Powerful and voluminous in the mouth. Often made with Garnacha grapes.

- In Degusta Teruel you can find a selection of wines from our territory. -
