Lagar d'Amprius Garnacha Red

The Lagar d'Amprius Garnacha red wine is from the Amprius Lagar Winery. Wine from the Matarraña region, in the province of Teruel, Aragon.

Characteristics:

• Type of Wine: Red.
• Variety: Garnacha.
• Color: Ruby red, with medium intensity and slight variation to pink tones on the edge. Lens and subtly colored tears, very clean and bright.
• Aroma:Red fruit, cherries, kirsch cherries, sloes and strawberries, with floral tones of violet and roses, and a subtle presence of lactic acid from strawberry yogurt.
• Taste: Good entry, leaving hints of coffee and toffee, as well as spicy touches of red pepper and cinnamon. Direct entry and quick passage, warm and glyceric with a sweet attack, with medium acidity and light, unctuous tannin with a medium body. The finish is bitter and toasted, with a lot of warmth and a long retronasal in which the roasted flavors remain.
• Gastronomy:  Fatty fish dishes (salmon, tuna, mackerel) or meaty whites (monkfish or cod), with tomato, black olives, truffle or ham sauce.
