Recipe for meatballs in tomato sauce:

Ingredients:

Meatballs

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 chopped onion

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 chopped carrot

1 can of crushed tomatoes (400 g)

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chicken broth or water (optional, to adjust the consistency of the sauce)

Fresh basil leaves or chopped parsley (optional, to decorate)

Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until golden and tender.

Add the chopped carrot and cook for a few minutes until slightly tender.

Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well and let the sauce boil.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cooked meatballs to the sauce. Cover the pot and cook for about 15-20 minutes, so that the meatballs warm up and are coated with the sauce.

If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little chicken broth or water to adjust the consistency.

Serve the meatballs with hot sauce, and if desired, sprinkle fresh basil leaves or chopped parsley on top as decoration. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or pasta, if you prefer.

This recipe is a quick and easy way to enjoy your ready-made meatballs in a delicious tomato sauce. I hope you enjoy it!
