Our favorite recipe WITH FRESH LONGANIZE

Here is a recipe to prepare sausages in wine:

Ingredients:

4 fresh sausages

1 large onion, julienned

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 cup of red wine

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped fresh parsley to decorate (optional)

Instructions:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the sausages to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove the sausages from the pan and place them on a separate plate.

In the same pan, add the onion and garlic. Cook until golden and tender.

Add the sweet paprika and mix well so that it is incorporated with the onion and garlic.

Pour the red wine into the pan and let it boil for a few minutes to reduce slightly.

Add the chicken broth and bring the mixture back to a boil.

Place the sausages back in the pan with the wine and broth sauce. Make sure they are partially submerged in the sauce.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pan and cook the sausages for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Serve the sausages with hot wine, accompanied by the onion and wine sauce. You can sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top as decoration, if you wish.

Sausages in wine are delicious and can be served as a main dish along with mashed potatoes, rice or a fresh salad. The wine and spices give a rich and aromatic flavor to the sausages. Enjoy this tasty and comforting recipe!
